Congressperson Misuses “Accost”

Fast reference – – A congresswoman today used the phrase “physically accosted.”  To accost someone is to approach and speak to someone, often in a challenging or aggressive way. The keyword here is “speak.”   The phrase, “to physically speak” to someone makes no sense.   In any event, I trust the congresswoman was not hurt physically.  Merriam-Webster's definition of "accost" https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/accost
